Austin Pinkney’s illustrations are conceptually very broad in their nature and content.
They employ many interchangeable uses of media–often fusing traditional and state
of the art techniques to achieve the most powerful and relevant imagery required
to fulfill the client brief.

The range of his illustrations is equal only to his unlimited imagination and prodigious output
from magazines, newspapers, CD/DVD sleeves and book illustration.

Austin experiments with media in depth, and has created many innovative techniques
that give his work an individual edge and personal signature.

Outside of the realms determined by design for print alone, he is currently working on
sculptural illustrations and typography–self-titled media: ‘illustratypes’, electro-plated
illustrations–employing the actual materials that a particular client manufactures: plastics,
polymers, metals and timbers–you name it!
